Pictured is an MOD search dog, trained in detecting explosives, with his handler.The Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) has one of the largest Dog Sections of all British Police Forces.

General Purpose (GP) Police Dogs and their handlers are deployed at 23 Dog Sections across the United Kingdom. The GP teams are trained and licensed in accordance with the National Police Dog Assessment Model. Selected teams will undertake further training to enable them to deploy in a tactical firearms support role alongside firearms officers.

The Force operates several classifications of specialist search dogs which are deployed to search and indicate the presence of explosives and drugs, as well as firearms. All dog teams within the Force Dog Section undertake regular Refresher Course and Continuation Training which is delivered by accredited instructors.

Mussa, a native of Michigan City, Ind., is the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment kennel master and an advisor with the battalion's Embedded Training Team. Again we come back to my (brilliant) idea of giving small but meaningful public grants to people who, in the process of enjoying their lives, make everybody else's day much more interesting. If I were the Parks Commissioner, one of my operatives would slap a 0 bill in this woman's hand in exchange for a promise to come back two or three more times at her own convenience.

My knowledge of anime characters is only by osmosis. I've seen this character a hundred times, but only today have I learned that it's the half-human, half-demon Inu Yasha.

No, I didn't ask her for the name; I didn't want to look like a feeb. Instead, I did a Google image search for "anime characters" and picked the half-demon out of a lineup.

Three cheers to this woman...!

I don't often post the same image with different processing. But in the case of this image there is a bit of a back-story and a Flickr experiment at work.

As many of you know Rj Dollen is a collection of creative types headed up by me, Cam. We collaborate, debate and often disagree on what processing works best, what lighting suits a model or achieves our end result best… and in a larger sense what is "beautiful." Now, all of that probably sounds like a lot of words clumped together just to say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." But is it really?

OSU officers are trained in wide variety of evidence gathering and search techniques. This includes possible vehicle, person and building searches.

The Operations Support Unit (OSU) is a uniformed department made up of officers with a wide range of specialist skills.

They are our strategic reserve for major and serious incidents.

The OSU has three core roles:

1. Public Order
2. Search
3. Method of Entry

Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab ), located in Batavia near Chicago, Illinois, is a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory specializing in high-energy particle physics. As of January 1, 2007, Fermilab is operated by Fermi Research Alliance, LLC, a joint venture of the University of Chicago and the Universities Research Association (URA). URA is a consortium of 91 leading research oriented universities primarily in the United States, with members also in Canada, Japan, and Italy. Fermilab is a part of the Illinois Technology and Research Corridor.

Fermilab's Tevatron is a landmark particle accelerator; at 6.28 kilometers (4 miles) in circumference, it is the world's second highest energy particle accelerator (LHC is 27 kilometres in circumference). In 1995, both the CDF and D0 (detectors which utilize the Tevatron) experiments announced the discovery of the top quark. In addition to high energy collider physics, Fermilab is also host to a number of smaller fixed target experiments and neutrino experiments, such as MiniBooNE (Mini Booster Neutrino Experiment), SciBooNE (SciBar Booster Neutrino Experiment) and MINOS (Main Injector Neutrino Oscillation Search). The MiniBooNE detector is a 40-foot (12-meter) diameter sphere which contains 800 tons of mineral oil lined with 1520 individual phototube detectors. An estimated 1 million neutrino events are recorded each year. SciBooNE is the newest neutrino experiment at Fermilab; it sits in the same neutrino beam as MiniBooNE but has fine-grained tracking capabilities. The MINOS experiment uses Fermilab's NuMI (Neutrinos at the Main Injector) beam, which is an intense beam of neutrinos that travels 735km through the Earth to the Soudan Mine in Minnesota.

In the public realm, Fermilab is host to many cultural events, not only public science lectures and symposia, but classical and contemporary music concerts, folk dancing and arts galleries, when the Homeland Security Advisory System permits. Currently the site is open to all visitors from dawn to dusk who present valid photo identification.

60 de ces vedettes rapides des USCG construites dans l'arsenal de Brooklyn ont été dépêchées des USA vers la Grande-Bretagne en vue du D-Day. Les n°1 à 60 leur ont été attribués. 30 unités ont été déployées dans le secteur Anglo-canadien et 30 autres dans le secteur US. Avant même que ne débute les opérations de débarquement, L'USCG 1 a repêché 28 hommes d'une barge en difficulté lors de la traversées de la Manche. Ces unités ont au total sauvé environ 400 hommes le 6 juin 1944. Il fallait pas mal de courage aux Coast Guards car les vedettes étaient surnommées les "Matchbox" ("boîtes d'allumettes") à cause de leur construction tout en bois et leurs deux moteurs fonctionnant à l'essence hautement inflammable (et non pas au gasoil)

Short story. So in 2010, when I was a wee-baby photographer, I would submit requests to shoot shows all the time when bands I liked came through town. Most of the time I'd get no response. Sometimes I'd get a no... but here comes RyG and a resounding "yes."

Fast forward two years and I'm doing my monthly Google image search of my name just to see how my work is being used and seen, and I stumble upon this, for which there are no words: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uKtPVm6nb4

P.S. I allowed the band to do what they wished with these photos as long as I got attribution. It was the least I could do since I was just starting out trying to get national bands in my portfolio. You may notice he attribution also says "based on portraits". That's because it is actually two. I merged them together to match the painting here.
