It does work at blog.path.com which has a YouTube embed, but it should work on the home page too
There also should be a link to the path blog, about, etc when you are logged in on the website.
It should be possible to add tags after you've posted a photo (you might not have time or a great connection to access the places database & need to go back later).
I don't see a way to edit in the app or on the web (also, twitter should allow editing - of course I messed up the email subject to send it to twitter/flickr - I was able to correct it here because I can edit flickr titles, but not on twitter - I'll probably delete and repost which is irritating).
They haven't updated on twitter since launch

A broader critique of path.
Flickr was one of the first to realize that people don't just want to share photos with grandma (which made it different than Shutterfly, Kodak galleries, etc).
But they also provided good privacy controls (all the photos & video of my family from Chicago are private).
Yes, there are some path photos you'll only want to share with family & friends, but many are fine to share with the world (whether the world is interested is another matter).
There should be a way to post photos to flickr. It does save the photo to the iPhone camera roll, but...

And 50 is an arbitrary number no matter how much they cite Dunbar, etc
Different people have different needs.
Some people have large families or larger groups might want to use it as a way to share photos privately.
