The image was scanned from my personal collection and the color restored (digitally remastered). I also retouched it to remove scratches, cracks, smudges and age spots. So, here's the finished card. It's a bit odd in that it has all three of us in it, which is a first since ever in his 13 years on our planet.

January 7th - Russian Orthodox Christmas

I made this e-card for Christmas, but never get chance to load it to flickr.
I am not sure it suits Russian Christmas, - I think white colour is more appropriate for orthodox.
Never mind, - I hope you like my 'art' and merry Christmas to all orthodox Christians!

The featuring tree is Australian endemic Brachychiton acerifolius,
naturally it's called Flame Tree and it blooms around Xmas time (November-December in Brisbane).

One of 12 Christmas cards I made in December of 2006 for friends. I used a photo off of flickr and a clear plastic sheet of reasonable thickness that was left over from an architecture project. It is held in place by eyelets and i wrote Merry Christmas on it.
