Heartlands is on the site of what was the former mining complex at Robinson’s Shaft in the village of Pool, part of the mining heart of Cornwall. The Camborne and Redruth area that surrounds Heartlands was designated World Heritage Site status in 2006 by UNESCO as part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape.
