A close-up of a child as villagers of Kuma Garadayat, North Darfur, gather to welcome the Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs of the African Union-UN Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID), Aïchatou Mindaoudou Souleymane. Ms. Souleymane gave residents an introduction to the “Quick Impact Project” UNAMID plans to implement in the village, which will consist in the construction of a new school with fourteen classrooms, a clinic, a youth centre and a women’s centre.
