Perth City - City of Light

Perth, Western Australia, is also sometimes known as the "City of Light".

Perth would appear to be, to the traveler, a place of romance: the 'City of Light' acclaimed by the astronaut John Glenn who, orbiting the earth overhead in his Mercury capsule in 1963, claimed to have seen 'the tiny glow on the south-west tip of the great black southern continent,' as its inhabitants left their lights on through the night in honor of Glenn and the United States space program. 'I can see lights on the ground,'Glenn reported. 'I can see the lights of Perth on the coast. Thanks everyone for turning on the lights.'

I have all kinds of textures and patterns that I have used as backgrounds, layers, etc. Mine are not the best quality in the world, but they are all virus free (when I put them on my sites) and they work fine. They are all high resolution and some are 12x12 at 300 dpi. Others are rectangle and larger. I hope these are helpful to you.

They are protected by creative commons license and may be used for all applications (commercial and personal) as long as you do not resell the image. Attribution is required. Powerpoint Background Instructions:

Makes a great powerpoint background if you choose. The directions to use this as a powerpoint background may vary from one version to another. I am currently using an old version. The directions to add this as a slide backgroudn on my version are as follows:

1.At the top of your screen, click on format, then from the pull down menu, click on background.
2. Now, when a small window opens, click on the blank space under the sample window.
3. A drop box opens. Click on fill effects.
4. Now, click on the tab at the top that says picture.
5.At that point, upload the image you want for a background.
6.Then you can click on apply to slide or apply to all slides as a master background.
7.Next, you can add graphic images in front of it, if you choose to carry over from slide to slide.

An air-to-air left side view of a 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron (TFS) F-15C Eagle aircraft carrying a full load of AIM-9 Sidewinder and AIM-7 Sparrow missiles. Members of the 32nd TFS are piloting the aircraft during a Zulu alert mission designed to protect Northern NATO nations from possible attack. The 32nd TFS is the only USAF squadron to bear the official crest of the Queen of the Netherlands painted on the side of its F-15C fighter aircraft.
