The Sesame Street Experience for Military Families took USAG-Humphreys by storm as several hundred Humphreys community members flocked to the Community Activity Center for two shows Feb. 9.

Since 2008, United Service Organizations and Sesame Street have teamed up to bring the show to military installations world-wide but this year marks the first time it was performed in the Republic of Korea.

Before the show started, eager Sesame Street fans received several giveaways including Talk, Listen, Connect program outreach materials.

The 30-minute show featured dancing and singing performances by Cookie Monster, Zoe, Elmo, Grover and Rosita. Fans of all ages were excited as the characters made their way through the crowd during the performance and posed for pictures.

According to the Sesame Workshop web site, the show is an initiative that provides support and offers significant resources for military families with young children experiencing the effects of deployments, multiple deployments or when a parent returns home changed due to a combat related injury.
