The Library of Congress website offers a multitude of historical images, many with no known restrictions on use. This image is derived from the 1915 Keystone stereograph titled The Start! Baby Vanderbilt Cup Race, Athletic Field, Panama-Pacific International Exposition, San Francisco, Calif.. Newsreel footage of the race can be found at the Vanderbilt Cup Races website. Additionally, several documentary photos of the event can be found at the San Francisco public library.
