Nice My Photos photos

A few nice my photos images I found:

My wife: Anna
my photos
My wife Anna.
We went from Kiev to Odessa, and on a way have decided to stop in Uman, to make some photos. Sofievskiy park is likely the most beautiful park in Ukraine. It has been based in 1796 by earl Pototsky and presented to his wife Sofia (in honour of it and park Sofievka is named). Can you imagine yourselves the power of love and scope of romanticism at that time? To present a park in the size about 200 hectares, in which about 4000 kinds of plants?
Let's return to our trip. Unfortunately to take a walk it was not possible. There was some Jewish holiday (and in Sofievka there is a Judaic relic), and there have arrived many Israelis to Uman, and they by virtue of the impudence prevented shooting. Therefore this photo - one successful. My wife doesn't like to be photographed by me:) She wants usual, natural photos, without studio light. She says me - that differently it's work. And to work as model she doesn't want. Therefore has not many photos.
By the way, for those who read my previous post - on a photo it is the 4th month of pregnancy:)

6243. Seen, we think, from the upper deck of a cruiser, this photo is reproduced with the purpose of furthering the discussion going on under Entry 6240 concerning the mystery submarine[s] or objects in that photo three entries back. One suggestion has been that the utterly unknown structure[s] are a WWI ruse intended to deceive - which would be, of course, and intention to deceive any unfriendly eye observing the ships and boats at Garden Island.

On that point, we observe the canvas structure aft of the conning tower here, and what looks like a wooden beam projecting from the centre of it. Could the purpose have been to create the impression that the RAN's two E class boats carried a deck gun [which they didn't] ?

Also, what is the framed structure seen on the water beside the submarine on the other side , and does that have a connection with the boat-like structure shown in the foreground of Pic 6240? Our imaginations are heightened.

not available: entered into the MAMMA challenge (http://www.flickr.com/groups/815984@N23/) theme my favourite things. Art is definitely another. The quote is paraphrased from John Updike. The background is collaged from all sorts of odd scraps See gomakesomething.com/ht/collage/serendipity-squares/ for more info

Didn't realise the portrait was of Myrna Loy. I took it from an image of the front of a piece of sheet music from one of Dover's free samples. The song was called "You" presumably from The Ziegfield Follies, the rest of the picture was used here, www.flickr.com/photos/shadfan66/3738564093/

Although I much prefer the overall look and feel of the "Peter Pan's Flight" exterior of Disneyland (if you haven't seen it search for pictures, it's pretty cool), I really like this detail and the rest of the Peter Pan characters they've put up on the building at the Magic Kingdom.

Quick Fact: The original intent of the Disneyland version of this attraction was for the guests to fly through the ride as if they were Peter Pan. Audiences did not quite grasp this concept and were left wondering, "Why wasn't Peter Pan in the Peter Pan ride?"

Thanks for droppin' in!

Winter in Austin
free photo software
Image by Jim Nix / Nomadic Pursuits
This past Saturday, I found myself way on the west side of Austin with a little free time and my camera - usually that’s a dangerous combo. What I mean is, I lose track of reality and get sucked into the photography vortex for hours. But, it’s all good. This time however it was just too darn bright outside and I only fired off a few shots. I am just not much for shooting when the bright sun is overhead. That brings me back to the title of this shot. It doesn’t look like winter, does it? We had wonderfully warm temps this weekend, despite having fairly frigid weather earlier in the week and even snow about 10 days ago. Oh well, as they like to say around here: if you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes and it will change.

this is a vintage 1950s camera sent to me by my friend Diane. Its a square format Kodak brownie hawkeye camera, and I have, in my own style, made a 35 mm film adapter for it. the camera is totally manual, with a fixed meniscus lens. One has to instinctively wind the film. Since it doesn't have anything to rewind the film, I have to unload it in my room at 2 AM sans any lights!!
I realised I was winding it a bit too much, and wasting a lot of film, when I came across Chet4's technique... tried it out today morning... it works...! Thanks Diane and Chet! I am forever indebted to you for your cameras and fantastic Ideas!

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center: Aichi M6A1 Seiran
photo ideas
Quoting Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum | Aichi M6A1 Seiran (Clear Sky Storm):

Aichi chief engineer, Toshio Ozaki, designed the M6A1 Seiran to fulfill the requirement for a bomber that could operate exclusively from a submarine. Japanese war planners devised the idea as a means for striking directly at the United States mainland and other important strategic targets, like the Panama Canal, that lay thousands of kilometers from Japan. To support Seiran operations, the Japanese developed a fleet of submarine aircraft carriers to bring the aircraft within striking distance. No Seiran ever saw combat, but the Seiran/submarine weapons system represents an ingenious blend of aviation and marine technology.

This M6A1 was the last airframe built (serial number 28) and the only surviving example of the Seiran in the world. Imperial Japanese Navy Lt. Kazuo Akatsuka ferried this Seiran from Fukuyama to Yokosuka where he surrendered it to an American occupation contingent.

Transferred from the United States Navy.
